Multiple Campus Data Center Consolidation

This project encompassed the consolidation of 5 data centers. The electrical scope included installing 3,000 feet of 2″ conduit with pull boxes from the main electrical room to the proposed data center. Camali installed conduits and necessary electrical connections to support HVAC systems, including integration with the 400-amp 480-volt breaker enclosures at the ATS and tapping generator-side lugs. Other tasks included upgrading lighting, HVAC controls, and a busway system for UPS output distribution. Demolition of the existing UPS, removal of unused electrical components, and lighting updates in server and UPS rooms were also performed.

The mechanical and general construction scopes focus on integrating the data center and UPS room with the campus chilled water system. This included installation of booster pumps, piping, cooling units, and related systems, as well as demolishing old HVAC units. General construction tasks covered anchoring equipment, fire-stopping, patching walls, and sealing floors.
