IT Infrastructure Cleanup

Camali Corp was tasked with organizing the City of Hope’s highly IT rack cabling. The project involved sorting through tangled cables, identifying & removing outdated equipment, and implementing a streamlined system to ensure a more efficient and maintainable IT infrastructure. The team worked meticulously to label and reroute fiber and copper cables cables, ensuring that each connection was secure, accessible, and clearly identifiable. The power, copper, and fiber cables were separated to the respective primary and secondary sources to achieve redundancy. This improved the physical appearance of the IT racks and also enhanced the overall functionality and safety of the setup.

In addition to the physical organization, Camali Corp documented all ports and rack elevations in a comprehensive system. Each port was clearly labeled, and rack elevations were recorded, making future troubleshooting and maintenance much easier. By creating a detailed map of the entire network setup, the team provided City of Hope with a clear and accessible resource that would aid in quickly locating specific connections or equipment. This thorough documentation, combined with the improved organization, ultimately increased productivity by reducing downtime and streamlining maintenance tasks.
